The New York Daily News reported that currently 6.4 bottles of 2012 Pordeaux red wine, 2,652 gallons of regular gasoline, and 2,791 gallons of whole milk can be purchased for one gallon of print ink. The price of an ounce of ink is as high as $60, which is 30 times the cost of a ounce of top Moet & Chandon.
It is reported that the current print cartridges are mostly made by large companies, such as Hewlett Packard, Epson and Canon, with retail prices ranging from $10 to $60. This means that consumers only have to buy a few print cartridges at a cost that exceeds the cost of the printer itself, which ranges from $50 to $500. Manufacturers also said that because of the high cost of research activities and product development, they really can't do anything about the high price of ink cartridges.
Some consumers have also turned to third-party ink cartridge manufacturers to buy products, which will save about 30% of the price of cartridges from large manufacturers.
In this regard, how to save the use of ink cartridges, reduce the burden of your pocket? Here are some tips for keeping:
1. Use draft mode whenever possible. This mode uses less ink, although the print quality is not high, but it is no problem for personal use.
2. Don't pay the price when you buy a printer. The cheapest printers are often the most expensive to configure ink cartridges. Unless you don't plan to use the printer often, you should generally not buy a bargain.
3. Do not print photos. This will make your purse severely shrink.
4. Consider a high-capacity ink tank. If you want to print more than 10 pages of paper per day, you can purchase a large-capacity ink tank that can print at least 300 to 400 sheets of paper, which has the lowest printing cost per sheet.
5. Use premium third-party compatible ink cartridges.
