Building blocks and puzzles composed of English letters or Arabic numerals are called "teaching toys" in the United States. This is not only good for the function of really learning words and numbers in the future, but the "side effects" are very obvious. Since children can only have a "concept" to words and numbers after they are 3 years old, Royk recommends that children before the age of 3 should have more exposure to other toys that inspire intelligence, such as pictures, animal blocks and so on.
