Screen company launched a new product, the PlateRite FX870 flexo press, at IPEX, marking the first time the screen has entered the flexo market. The FX870 Flexo Press is a thermal CTP system that can be imaged on digital flexo plates up to 870 x 735mm. Its market position is very broad, including label printing, flexible packaging, corrugated paper boxes, folding cartons, and security printing.
The new thermal CTP system is based on Screen's thermal laser technology for imaging, DuPont's Cyrel and Asahikasei digital flexo plates. The system will be officially launched on the global market in September this year.
