It’s really cool to make this simulated moon table lamp with 3D printing.

Product designer Oscar Lhermitte teamed up with design studio Kudu to create the lunar/MOON table lamp centered on the simulated moon with an accurate ratio of 1:20 million. The simulated moon is made in 3D printing. The whole production is based on data from NASA. The simulation is very high and very detailed, highlighting the real details of the moon crater, crater, ridge.

What's interesting is that there is a circle of LED lights around the moon that rotates around the moon. Different angles of light form the various phases of the upper, lower, full moon, and crescent moon we see on Earth.

There are three modes of the moon table lamp. The fixed mode can be manually rotated to the desired position. In the demonstration mode, the LED light will rotate around the moon table lamp within 30 seconds. In the immersive mode, a rotation will take about 29 days, 12 hours, 44 minutes, and 2.80 seconds. This is a complete cycle of the moon that we see on Earth.

The lunar desk lamp is now at a cashbacker's crowdfunding price of 500 euros, and the actual price is expected to reach 700 euros.
