Vinson Massif, 4897 meters above sea level, is the highest peak in Antarctica.
It is located at 78 degrees 35 minutes south latitude and 85 degrees 25 minutes west longitude. It is located in the southwest pole of Antarctica and is the main peak of the Elwow range of the Antarctic continent.

Antarctica is also the driest continent on the planet. Almost all precipitation is snow and hail. The polar cyclone rotates clockwise from the north of the mainland and enters the mainland with a long arc. Except for the low-altitude areas of the southwest pole, these winds are difficult to enter into the mainland. However, at the end of the Antarctic Peninsula where the cyclone passes (including King George Island), the annual precipitation is especially rich, reaching 900 mm.
