Set as a percentage in the ink file submenu. On the ink zone control panel, the operator can change the ink zone gap (up to 32) for each printing unit. You can set a percentage value for all ink areas at the same time, just as you can adjust the selected ink area group.

a. Press the Ink/Wetting Fluid button in the menu bar (Figure 7-37/1). The same name menu appears on the display.
b. Press the Ink File button in the Ink/Wetting Volume menu (Figure 7-37/2). Open the ink file menu.
c. Select the printing unit (View 7-38/1) that will change the ink file (if you continue to select the printing unit, use the arrow keys 2).
d. Set the ink area as a percentage. Use the "+" or "-" buttons (Fig. 7-38/3) to open or close the ink zone of the selected printing unit. The display on the button indicates the amount of change in percentage units.

The changed printing unit ink file is displayed on the ink area display (Fig. 7-38/4). The bar indicates that the corresponding ink metering roller is open.

The vertical lines in the ink area display (Fig. 7-38/5) represent a group of ink areas.

 Tip: If the ink areas are grouped in a printing unit, the ink area adjustment value affects only this group of ink areas.

e. Press the Ink/Wet Volume button (Figure 7-38/6) on the menu bar to exit the menu and return to the Ink Volume menu.
