Since the launch of the LED lighting demonstration project in Guangdong in 2008, Guangdong has promoted the application of 1.3 million LED street lamps, more than 2 million indoor LED lighting products, more than 30,000 kilometers of demonstration road sections, and an overall energy saving of 55%. The report shows that although the total output value has increased by more than 20% year-on-year, from the perspective of composition, the midstream and downstream products are still the main components. The output value of LED lighting lamps is 34.008 billion yuan, accounting for 22.00% of the total output value; LED accessories materials are 28.709 billion yuan, accounting for 18.58% of the total output value; LED packaging components are 23.790 billion yuan, accounting for 15.39% of the total output value, three categories The total industrial output value was 86.507 billion yuan, accounting for 55.97% of the total output value.
From the perspective of growth rate, LED lighting fixtures, LED package components, and LED display screens are leading the growth rate. The growth rate of the output value of the three types of products is over 26%. In addition, research on a number of core technologies such as visible light communication key technologies, chip-level light sources (CSP), white LED chips, and flip-chip multi-chip integrated modules (FCOB) provide sufficient power for the sustainable development of the LED industry in Guangdong in the future.
In the first half of 2014, Guangdong's import and export fell sharply, with a total import and export volume of US$472.15 billion, down 14.9% year-on-year. At the same time, Guangdong LED industry performed well. According to the monitoring of the top ten key areas of LED export in Guangdong Province, in the first half of the year, the export value of Guangdong LED key areas reached 38.277 billion yuan, an increase of 39.35% over the same period of last year, of which the export in the first quarter was 17.838 billion.
