Ink control panel

1. Basic information

The operator can set the ink file for each printing unit through the ink zone control panel. These settings can be done with the associated +/- keys, or by using a stylus to enter values. The ink file is displayed on the ink area display through different indicators.

First open the Ink/Wet Volume menu on the CP2000 Console, then select the Direct Operation Control button (Figure 7-39/1) to adjust the ink area. If Other menus have been opened on the console, the adjustment of the ink zone is only done on the ink zone control panel.

Ink area display: Each ink area has 25 coarse display lights and 20 accurate display lights to represent the ink file. The ink file setting range is from 0% to 100%. The set ink file is displayed as a bar (Figure 7-40/1) to display the coarse adjustment value in increments of 4%. The precise adjustment value is shown by the respective indicator (Fig. 7-40/2) with an increment of 0.2%.

Some features of the ink file display

• When the ink metering roller is turned off (ink zone gap = 0%), the indicators on both the fine and coarse adjustment maps are off.
• When the ink metering roller is fully opened (ink zone gap = 100%), the indicator light on the coarse adjustment display and the indicator light above the fine adjustment display are on.

· Ink zone indicator display

Each ink zone has an ink zone indicator display (Figure 7-40/(6)). The light on (green dot) indicates that this ink zone is combined with another ink zone as a group. Changes in the gaps of one ink zone in this group also affect the gaps in other ink zones.

• Ink group selection Press this key (Figure 7-40/3) and use the +/- key set in the ink file to allow the operator to group ink areas.

· Conversion between coarse display and fine display

By pressing this button (Figure 7-40/4), the operator can switch between coarse display and fine display.

· Set the ink file +/- key

Use the "+" button (Fig. 7-40/5) to open the ink metering roller and use the "-" button to turn off the ink metering roller, which closes the ink area.
