The control here has two meanings: one is the amount of glue, and the other is the problem of uneven uniformity.
The amount of sizing is basically determined by the gravure roll dot depth and glue concentration. However, when these two factors are fixed, the gravure roll sizing is also affected by the degree of hardness, pressure, and squeegee pressure of the rubber roll.
Squeegee pressure is too small or too tight, or mechanical impurities top up causing gaps, the amount of sizing. The rubber roller is very soft and elastic, and the pressure is great, so the glue is also less. This can be squeezed into the depth of the gravure roll from the rubber under pressure to drive out part of the glue to reduce the transfer of glue.
For dry compounding, uniform glue or not is a fundamental means to ensure the unity of quality. If the mechanical precision is not high, the scraper is not straight, or there is a mechanical impurity left or right caught between the plate limit and the blade surface, even The pressures on the left and right sides are not the same, which can cause uneven sizing, and eventually make the peel strength of the composite uneven. In extreme cases, where peeling is too weak, the peel strength is unacceptable, resulting in scrap.
The solution is the same as the method of uneven ink in gravure printing.
(1) Scraper should be checked frequently to ensure the straightness of the blade.
(2) The parallelism of the knife holder and the plate roller is reliable, and it should not be repeated one after the other.
(3) The scraper and the plate roller are often inspected to remove mechanical impurities trapped between them.
(4) The pressure on the left and right sides of the rubber roller should be equal, and the elasticity of the rubber roller itself should be uniform. That is to say, when the rubber roller is manufactured, the rubber compound should be uniform, the curing conditions should be uniform, and the quality at any point is the same. .
(5) If necessary, check whether the amount of sizing is equal to the left, middle and right points according to the measurement method of residual solvent in drying. If problems are found, correct them promptly to ensure normal production operation and quality are consistent.
