European pulp prices stabilized, China's pulp market rebounded slowed

The price of pulp in the European market is currently stable. As of October 2, the European market for bleached softwood kraft pulp (coniferous pulp) was quoted at US$764/ton, up 0.3% from last week, down 7.8% from the beginning of the year; hardwood kraft pulp (broad pulp) was quoted at US$747. / ton, continued to decline by 0.6% from last week, compared with the initial price rebound to 15.2%. As of October 2, the price of softwood pulp in the US market was reported at US$832/ton, and the price per ton of pulp exceeded the European market by US$68.

Affected by the exchange rate, the price of pulp in the European market is steadily rising in euros (usually settled within the EU's internal trade). As of October 2, the price of softwood pulp was 591 euros/ton, up 0.7% from last week, and the price fell 7.7% compared with the beginning of the year; the price of broadleaf pulp was 578 euros/ton, down slightly by 0.1% from last week, compared with the beginning of the year. The cumulative rebound rate was 15.2%.

The rebound in pulp prices in the Chinese market has slowed down. As of October 2, the price of imported softwood in the Chinese market was US$637/ton, which exceeded the price of broadleaf pulp. It continued to rise by 0.2% from last week, down by 3.6% from the beginning of the year; and the price of broadleaf pulp was US$627/ton. It fell by 1.2% from last week, and the cumulative price increase was 11.7% compared with the beginning of the year.
